11 Jul 2008 - Healthy Schools Status

Staff and pupils at Huncoat have been celebrating receiving Healthy School status.

The award was made after a number of initiatives, including Wake Up, Shake Up and the Healthy Tuck Shop.

The school has been working towards achieving the status for more than two years and will now keep the status for four years.

Mrs C. MacMahon, who has been the driving force behind the scheme said, "Achieving Healthy School status is a great boost for the school. It shows what we can do when we put our minds to it."
